Chief Financial Officer of PE Owned Supplier of Software and Embedded Controls

Developed financial reporting package and weekly / monthly forecast models to support the growth objectives of a supplier of software and embedded controls for automotive and industrial applications.  Reduced close timing by 50% and audit adjustments from in excess of 100 per year to zero.  Identified and implemented improvements in project management that yielded 800 basis point improvement in gross margin of consulting operations.

Automotive Component Supplier Interim Management with Lender and Customer Negotiations

While serving as interim Chief Financial Officer, designed and implemented weekly and monthly forecasting models to identify a liquidity shortfall of $30M that was previously unknown to the management team.  Negotiated a package of financial accommodations from constituents to provide incremental liquidity of $30M in addition to debt forgiveness, and divested of two facilities to enable an out of court restructuring which resulted in the spin out of the most profitable facility into a new, debt free entity owned by the prior equity holder.

Metals Service Center Interim Management, Bankruptcy, and Sale

Prepared a weekly and monthly forecast, identifying a ~$20M liquidity shortfall for a $100M steel service center resulting in a bankruptcy filing.  Served as Treasurer and Deputy Chief Restructuring Officer, leading a team that engineered a $30M reduction of inventory and a consolidation of two facilities into one to facilitate a 363 sale of the company resulting in a full recovery for the lender and preservation of the workforce.

Home Health Care Provider Performance Improvement, Receivership, and Sale

Led all aspects of financial forecasting, reporting, and cash management, as well as the identification and implementation of ~$3M of annualized cost savings for a provider of home health care services.  Oversaw investment banking process that enabled the sale of the company to a strategic buyer.  Result was a full recovery for senior lenders yielding ~3x the value of the prior team’s proposed transaction.

Health System Venture Fund Expansion

Acquired a $1B manufacturer of connectors and electrical architecture components from a private equity fund on behalf of a $16B tier one automotive supplier.  Coordinated all aspects of diligence, financial modeling, and identification of synergies, which amounted to ~9% of annual revenue, believed to be the highest synergy value of a publicly reported automotive transaction at the time.  Negotiated and structured transaction.
