The MERU Way

From day one, MERU has operated from a set of core values its founders established even before they launched the Firm. These principles set our aspirations as a firm: the caliber of our people, the way we work with clients, and the heights we aspire to achieve as individuals and as a team. On every new hire’s first day, we spend an hour discussing what these values mean to us and how we will strive to live up to them. They remain fundamental to how we are different as a Firm.

Our Core Values

Work with the best
We are high performers with exacting standards. We are honest, trustworthy and sincere. We are not satisfied with the status quo.
Strive for Excellence
We relentlessly pursue hidden value, bringing top resources to help our clients reach their full potential.
Align with our clients' success
We align closely with our clients, structuring our fees on successful outcomes. We are dedicated and transparent partners, not consultants.
4 Collaboration
We are collaborative thought partners invested in your success. We leverage our individual strengths, working together to bring out the best in each other.

As the Firm grew, we came to recognize that while our core values set a critically important framework for who we are and how we act, we had an opportunity to better define both what characteristics make up a successful colleague as well as what aspects of our Firm culture truly differentiate us. These two things – the traits of a MERU colleague, and the aspects of our culture – combine to make MERU the exceptional place it is.

The Nine Core Characteristics of MERU Colleagues

Our first core value is: “Work with the best.” But what defines “the best?” After months of debate, along with close study of our most successful colleagues, we settled on the following nine characteristics that define what it takes to succeed at MERU. Some of us may be better communicators, others great problem solvers, and still others more empathetic; but all colleagues must possess a strong baseline in each characteristic in order to maximize their potential here.
