MERU Announces Election to the Partnership, Welcomes Scott Webb, Partner

NEW YORK — MERU, an operationally focused professional services firm, is pleased to announce the election of Scott Webb as Partner, based out of our New York office.

Scott specializes in resolving complex situations for companies and stakeholders, helping them build consensus on strategic alternatives and execute transactions ranging from M&A and capital raises to internal and external recapitalizations. He brings more than 20 years of experience and a proven track record structuring high-touch processes that help companies remove impediments, unlock value, and reposition themselves for accelerated future performance.

Throughout his career, Scott has advised public and private companies, management teams, lenders, investors, trustees, and creditor committees across a wide range of engagements—both in- and out-of-court. His work spans industries including healthcare, energy, consumer products, manufacturing, building products, real estate, and professional services. He has also provided valuations, fairness opinions, and testimony in bankruptcy court.

Scott previously served as Partner and Head of Special Situations Investment Banking at Carl Marks Advisors, where he led numerous complex transactions and restructurings. He has been recognized repeatedly by industry organizations, including Global M&A Network’s Top 25 Restructuring Investment Bankers (2023) and M&A Advisor’s Investment Banker of the Year (2022). He has also earned multiple deal-of-the-year awards across restructuring, M&A, and sector-specific categories.

Scott earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Vermont, is a FINRA Registered Representative (Series 7, 79, 63), and is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
