MERU Advises Leading Communications Provider

MERU advised a leading mobile communications provider in the successful Chapter 11 restructuring of a critical technology partner to the business ('the Debtor'). 

On the heels of a failed effort to raise funding to support ongoing operations, the Debtor, a provider of cloud-enabled, end-to-end streaming video solutions to cable and telecom operators, approached the company to partner on a solution to prevent a liquidation of the business.

Following an evaluation of all available strategic alternatives, and in the interest of ensuring continuity of services, the mobile communications provider committed to providing post-petition funding to support the Debtor's operations through a planned 363 process. 

Ultimately, the Debtor was successful in selling substantially all of its assets to a strategic acquirer and transferring nearly 90% of their then existing workforce to the successor entity.

MERU served as financial advisor to the lender throughout this restructuring.
