COMPANY OVERVIEW

  • Private equity-owned business that had accounting issues and poor controls
  • Zero visibility into cash and substandard financial reporting
  • Incredibly challenging data environment including 50 bank accounts, 2 different ERP systems with ~25 instances and subsidiaries domiciled in 13 countries, most with their own currency
  • MERU was hired to develop a 13-week cash forecast, assess the finance function, identify areas to improve processes, and assist with integration of new acquisitions

OUR APPROACH

  • Developed 13-week cash forecast that forecast at an entity/currency level
  • Evaluated the Company’s finance department cash-related performance and (e.g. working capital levels)
  • Developed new automated monthly reporting package
  • Mapped key company processes (order entry, dispatch, reconciliation, etc.)
  • Assisted with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of multiple key finance staff (new CFO, VP Finance, Treasurer, Controller)
