COMPANY OVERVIEW
- Private equity-owned business that had accounting issues and poor controls
- Zero visibility into cash and substandard financial reporting
- Incredibly challenging data environment including 50 bank accounts, 2 different ERP systems with ~25 instances and subsidiaries domiciled in 13 countries, most with their own currency
- MERU was hired to develop a 13-week cash forecast, assess the finance function, identify areas to improve processes, and assist with integration of new acquisitions
OUR APPROACH
- Developed 13-week cash forecast that forecast at an entity/currency level
- Evaluated the Company’s finance department cash-related performance and (e.g. working capital levels)
- Developed new automated monthly reporting package
- Mapped key company processes (order entry, dispatch, reconciliation, etc.)
- Assisted with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of multiple key finance staff (new CFO, VP Finance, Treasurer, Controller)
